The 24th Amendment
Amendment XXIV
--
Section I.
The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other election for President or Vice President, for electors for President or Vice President, or for Senator or Representative in Congress, shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or any State by reason of failure to pay any poll tax or other tax.
--
Section II.
The Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
Studies show 57% of Americans haven't read the constitution.
But of those who have read the US Constitution, how many have read it with an ear towards the context in which it was written?
Mutual understanding and consensus among Americans towards progress relies on our experiences and interpretations. But the narrower the purview of our chosen source(s) of information (and therefore interpretations), the larger the gap in understanding.
This site aims to close this gap and answer the questions:
What do our peers read?
How do our peers vote?
Can we maintain a healthy disagreement while acknowledging the validity and basis of our opinions?
